Remote Learning in the Crisis of Covid-19: Motivating or Demotivating the EFL Students to Learn?

The implementation of virtual learning in the time covid-19 pandemic had potentially affected students’ motivation. This research was aimed at finding out; (1) level EFL motivation when remote is implemented during Covid-19; (2) How Covid-19. study conducted two different universities majoring English department and medical laboratory technology consisting 202 students. To gain data, a questionnaire on delivered to data analyzed using Likert scale agreement or disagreement interpret types In analyzing both quantitative qualitative were used as mixed-methods applied. findings showed that students' categorized into high slightly close medium Other interesting distance claimed less effective because materials tent be difficult, error internet connection, interaction between students teachers, so forth. On other hand, some argued digital improves their ability utilizing media, encourages, encouraged them independency curiosity, trained more confident.
